Intervention

About

At Community of Hope we are dedicated to interrupting the cycle of sex trafficking through early intervention, trauma-informed crisis support, and safe pathways to long-term healing. By starting projects like Hope Kitchen and Rahab’s Refuge, we work to restore safety, dignity, and freedom to every individual we serve.

Hope Kitchen

Our project that provides practical care and genuine connection to individuals in our community who are experiencing homelessness. When our team goes out, they:

  • Build trust with women experiencing sexual exploitation
  • Offer hot cooked meals, sandwiches, beverages, and dessert to those living on the streets
  • Offer Conversation by meeting vulnerable people with dignity and without judgment
  • Offer gas cards and grocery gift cards, donated by generous partners, which go directly toward feeding our neighbours
  • Give out information about our drop-in center, ensuring women experiencing sexual exploitation know that safe, trauma‑informed support is available whenever they’re ready

Hope Kitchen is often the first point of contact—where trust begins, needs are seen, and hope is rekindled.

Rahab’s Refuge

Rahab’s Refuge is a place where women in the sex trade find acceptance, safety, connection, growth, and purpose.

Located in downtown Moncton, Rahab’s Refuge is our women’s drop-in center. Here, we provide a safe and welcoming place for sex workers: a hot meal, a warm shower, friendly conversation, and help connecting with community resources

  • In 2025 alone, Rahab’s Refuge welcomed 59 unique individuals into our drop-in center and provided more than 1,000 essential services
  • Services available: haircut station, nail painting station, hot meals, hot showers, crafts, coffee/tea & snacks, a safe place to relax & connect, and connection to community resources
  • Drop-in center hours:
    • Tuesday 12:30pm-5:00pm
    • Wednesday 12:30pm-5:00pm
    • Thursday 12:30pm-7:00pm
    • Friday 12:30pm-5:00pm
